Dawn (Klapper) Gilliland, Principal
Dawn (Klapper) Gilliland is the principal of Affordable Bookkeeping Services, which establishes and maintains accounting records to support business growth, financial performance, and tax planning and preparation. With more than a decade of experience in bookkeeping, Gilliland, a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, brings to her work a passion for helping small businesses succeed that is born out of her own entrepreneurial endeavors. Prior to founding Affordable Bookkeeping Services, she owned and operated In Touch, a high-end gift shop on Newbury Street in Boston. Gilliland holds a bachelor’s degree from Northeastern University as well as a certificate in accounting from Salem State University. She enjoys being active, travel, and spending time with her family, friends, and dog (Maisey) in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Brooke Gaudet is a bookkeeper with Affordable Bookkeeping Services who enjoys turning chaos into order for clients, helping them move from tangled data puzzles to neat financial reports wrapped in a bow and ready for tax season. A certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor, Gaudet holds a business degree from Bridgewater State University. She enjoys many outdoor activities with her two sons, including skiing, hiking, camping, and spending time at the beach.

Barbara Gilefsky is a bookkeeper with Affordable Bookkeeping Services who offers clients an enthusiastic attention to detail. She is determined to reconcile to the last penny. Her expertise on QuickBooks Desktop is in managing the accounts receivable, processing payroll and reconciliations of accounts. Gilefsky treats each account as she would her own business. She and her husband ran a successful product sales business, Gilefsky & Co., for 40 years. Gilefsky holds an associate degree in science from Mass Bay Community College and is an active volunteer with Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore. She enjoys reading and spending time with her family, including three children and five grandchildren. She and her husband reside in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Barbara Glassman is a bookkeeper with Affordable Bookkeeping Services. She works on the QuickBooks desktop platform and handles accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliation of accounts. Prior to moving to Marblehead to be closer to her daughter and two grandchildren, Glassman led AP, AR, and payroll for the legendary SAMS Clothing in Livingston, New Jersey for 20 years. Earlier in her career, she worked in wholesale fashion merchandising and marketing, traveling around the world and specializing in leather accessories for designers such as Christian Dior, Pierre Balmain, Valentino, and Givenchy. Glassman enjoys spending time with her family at the beach in all seasons.

Kay Kenney is a bookkeeper with Affordable Bookkeeping Services that specializes in helping clients move from chaos to order by getting them up and running with QuickBooks. With 30 years of experience in the field and a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Kenney has honed her skills to the point of maximum efficiency, delivering significant cost-savings to her clients. Kenney holds a B.S. in management science with a concentration in accounting from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. She serves as treasurer for the scholarship fund of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor and enjoys crocheting, RV trips with her husband, and walking around Marblehead, Massachusetts, where she resides.
